The foodpod Wins Best in Category at the 2011 Kitchen Hand Tools and Barbeque Accessories.

fusionbrands, the design company renowned for original, award-winning, contemporary products such as the foodloop, poachpod and the iceorb is thrilled to be honored again this year with the prestigious 2011 Housewares Design Award. The fusionbrands foodpod has won Best in Category in the 2011 Kitchen Hand Tools and Barbeque Accessories Group, helping to secure its presence in kitchens worldwide.

The foodpod® is a modern silicone cooking tool designed to save time when boiling, blanching or steaming by conveniently containing, removing and draining foods like eggs, veggies, shellfish and more in one easy-to-use vessel.

Following the theme “Design that Works” the competition attracted hundreds of entries competing for the chance to be recognized as the crème de la crème of industry product design and function. “It’s such a tribute to be placed in the same category as some of the industry giants! Accepting the award for the foodpod on behalf of a small company is a real honor,“ said Kraigh Stewart of fusionbrands.

In 2011, fusionbrands will expand their product directions and materials into other areas of the home, bringing imaginative new and creative approaches to our day-to-day activities.
